There's no better way to enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning than with a hot cup of coffee and a delicious baked good from Henry's of Beverly. Add in one of our scenic boat cruises, and right there we have the perfect morning planned! Come aboard one of these specialty cruises available every Sunday this summer from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. Once you depart our grounds... what to do next? Spend your day off in the Cape Ann Area.

1. Cape Ann Museum: To continue your relaxing day, take a short trip over to the Cape Ann Museum. This historic art museum allows you to learn more about the past of this coastal area. The museum has also collected a wide variety of art and installations from modern artists, so there's something for everyone. On Sundays, there are guided tours included with the admission that start at 2:00 pm. What a great way to spend a Sunday!

2. Bearskin Neck: Another great way to spend your Sunday would be to head over to Rockport and visit Bearskin Neck. This small, nostalgic fishermen village is home to quaint beaches, mom & pop restaurants, and unique shops. Here you can find pottery, leather goods, handmade candles, and loads of other eclectic finds. This is a fun way to get away from the norm and enjoy some old traditions!

3. Essex Shipbuilding Museum: This notable museum has one of only seven Essex built schooners that have survived since built-in 1927, The Evelina M. Goulart. This is a great choice for families with children. They have interactive displays that contain artifacts, tools, and old machinery. The museum also extends into the old 1835 Essex Central Schoolhouse and the town's first burial ground! There are endless amounts of history and culture to be explored with this choice.

4. Essex Antique and Specialty Shops: Close to home are some of the best antique and specialty shops in New England! Essex has over 25 small, vintage shops within a mile of each other. The area is described as a "collector's, dealer's, and decorator's paradise." With old fashioned furniture to hand-crafted home accessories, who knows the treasures you'll find! Every small shop has its own identity and character, it'll be easy to fall in love with a favorite go-to shop.

We hope this list helped you plan out your next Sunday adventures. The Cape Ann area is full of places to relax or explore. When you embark on one of our Coffee & Muffins cruises, make sure to ask more about the area. We'd love to make some recommendations.
